Drugs, weapons seized from New Stanton apartment
Two men from Detroit and a third from Louisiana were arrested Thursday after state police said they had drugs and weapons at a New Stanton apartment.
Two residents of the one-bedroom South Center Avenue apartment told troopers that the trio was staying with them.
Andrew J. Toster, 25, and Keeven T. House, 30, both of Detroit and Derrik H. Sandy Jr., 28, of Harvey, La., are being held at the Westmoreland County Prison.
Troopers were investigating suspected drug activity Thursday at 9:15 p.m. The renters gave police permission to search the apartment.
Investigators said they seized $1,175, two pairs of brass knuckles, suspected heroin, crack cocaine and crystal methamphetamine, a scale and two pistols, according to court papers. All three suspects are facing drug and weapons charges.
Bail for Toster was set at $250,000 and the other two men are being held on $100,000 bail. None had attorneys listed in online court records. Preliminary hearings are set for April 5.
