Construction will begin within the next month on a new Dunkin’ site in East Huntingdon’s Countryside Plaza.

Customers will be able to order their favorite brew, along with other beverages and pastries, by summer, says Audra Mitchell, a representative of the Savvy Group in Pittsburgh, Dunkin’s regional marketing agency.

“It will be a separate parcel, not part of the strip mall,” she says.

Further details were not immediately available.

Rumors of the coffee chain locating in the plaza have been recently rumbling through the community.

The plaza lost a large, long-time tenant in August when owner John “JK” Krystyniak closed JK’s County Market grocery store.

While the Peebles department store has been holding “store closing” sales, the store will instead convert to a Gordmans department store on Feb. 18.
