A Duquesne man who is the ex-husband of a former Norwin High School teacher convicted of selling heroin to a police informant on Friday himself pleaded guilty to two drug offenses.

Marc Anthony Rodnicki, 39, was sentenced to serve two years on probation for two misdemeanor drug counts in connection with his arrest in 2015. He also was charged with selling drugs to a police informant.

Prosecutors dismissed assault and victim intimidation charges.

Westmoreland County Common Pleas Court Judge Christopher Feliciani said Rodnicki’s probation can be terminated early if he successfully completes all the terms of his sentence.

Rodnicki’s former wife, a health and gym teacher at Norwin at the time of her arrest, pleaded guilty too last year and was sentenced to serve five years on probation and 18 months of house arrest. As part of her sentence, Lisa Rodnicki, 41, of Apollo, is barred from working as a teacher.
