One person was reported injured in a fire that destroyed an East Huntingdon cabin early Tuesday, a Westmoreland County Department of Public Safety supervisor said.

The person, who was not identified, went to Excela Frick Hospital in Mt. Pleasant for treatment, the public safety supervisor said.

A state police fire marshal is investigating the cause of the blaze at 1524 W. Pittsburgh St., which was reported at 5:55 a.m., the supervisor said. Firefighters remained on the scene until 8:45 a.m.

A spokesman for the East Huntingdon fire department could not be reached for comment.

East Huntingdon firefighters were assisted by units from Mt. Pleasant, Everson and Dawson.
