Easter-related events happening around Westmoreland County:

Bolivar

An Easter egg hunt will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Bolivar Volunteer Fire Company, 516 Market St. The event is open to children up to age 13. For more information, call Heidi Speidel at 724-676-4714.

Bradenville

A free Easter meal is being offered by the Make A Difference group.

Sign-ups end Tuesday. Meals will be distributed or delivered April 16 from noon to 2 p.m at Grace Bible Academy, 128 Bradenville School Road, Bradenville. The food is intended for people who live in the Latrobe, Derry and Blairsville areas.

Anyone interested in signing up needs to fill out a Google document on the Make A Difference Facebook group.

Greensburg

Greensburg’s community Easter egg hunt will be held April 9 at Lynch Field, near the Kirk S. Nevin Arena and the Aerobic Center, 520 New Alexandria Road. Times are as follows:

11:00 AM - Egg hunt for kids ages 4 & under

11:30AM - Egg hunt for kids ages 5 - 8 years old

12:00PM - Egg hunt for kids ages 9 - 12 years old

Hempfield

Annual Easter egg hunt will be held at 1:30 p.m. Sunday on the Chambers Hall Lawn on the campus of the University of Pittsburgh at Greensburg, 150 Finoli Drive.

The event, which is sponsored by Circle K International and Pitt Greensburg, is free for children and families. Registration can be found at bit.ly/3uWDOLI.

Manor

The Manor Recreation Board will host a free Easter party from 2 to 4 p.m. April 10 at the community building, 44 Main St. There will be games, prizes, a craft, refreshments and a visit from the Easter Bunny.

Murrysville

The Murrysville Recreation Department will host an Easter pet photos session from 10 a.m. to noon April 9 at the Westmoreland Heritage Trail visitor center on Route 22.

The event is free to attend, but donations to Pet Friends Animal Rescue in Irwin will be requested. Walker’s Pet Ho-Tail staff will provide treat bags for pets while supplies last.

North Huntingdon

The 48th annual Good Friday Family Prayer Breakfast will be at 7 a.m. April 15 at Stratigos Banquet Center, 131 Colonial Manor Road, North Huntingdon. More information and reservations: pit.cbmc.com

South Huntingdon

Faith Lutheran Church, 820 Plummer School Road, will host an Easter egg extravaganza from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. April 9 for children age 4 to 12. There will be a lesson, an egg hunt and a craft, and lunch will be served.

Unity

An Easter Bunny drive-thru event is set for 10 a.m. Saturday at the Unity Township Municipal Building, 154 Beatty County Road.

Kids can wave to the Easter Bunny without leaving their car. The first 300 children age 12 or younger who attend will receive a holiday treat.

Youngwood

An Easter egg hunt for dogs and their owners will be held from 1 to 4 p.m. Saturday behind Christ United Methodist Church, 100 Lincoln St. The event is being organized by Youngwood Top Dog Services.

While waiting for their turn in the egg hunt yard, dogs can pose with the Easter Bunny for a holiday portrait by photographer Julie Muir.

Each pooch can pick up five eggs of any color — except for gold-colored eggs, which are limited to one per group. Most eggs will contain a variety of grain-free dog treats. The gold eggs will include prizes such as gift cards, swag and apparel. A basket raffle, prize wheel, Easter craft stand for kids and vendors are planned.

A $10 donation is requested to benefit the Youngwood Dog Club and Therapy Team Program.

Washington Township

Union Presbyterian Church, 656 Route 380, will have a free Easter event from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. April 9. There will be an egg hunt, story, craft and lunch. Bring a basket. Details: unionpresbychurch.com.
