Westmoreland County Prison
Victor Perez

A former employee was ordered to serve at least 18 months in prison after he pleaded guilty to using a hidden cellphone to record videos in the women’s restroom of Peking Garden in Hempfield.

Victor Perez, 39, admitted to recording the videos for his personal pleasure, according to court papers. They included images of at least one child, police said.

He pleaded guilty to one felony count of child pornography and 47 separate misdemeanor charges of invasion of privacy.

In all, police said they found 46 images of women on Perez’s phone.

In January, a woman found the iPhone when she took her 2-year-old daughter to the restroom at the restaurant. Perez admitted to investigators that the phone belonged to him, according to court papers.

Westmoreland County Common Pleas Court Judge Tim Krieger sentenced Perez to serve up to three years behind bars. Perez has been in jail since his arrest in February.
