Excela Westmoreland Hospital spreads kindness with cardigans for newborns

It was part of the hospital’s celebration of World Kindness Day, which encourages all to don sweaters reminiscent of the iconic cardigans worn by beloved children’s television host Fred Rogers and to carry forth his message of spreading kindness. “To me and to all the nurses, it’s really important,” said Stiffler, a nurse and lactation consultant. “Mister Rogers is really instrumental in teaching these little ones all sorts of things as they get older. The message of being kind, and kindness to everybody, I think, to all nurses is important. That’s a major part of our profession.”
