Damage was limited mostly to the outside of a home in the Glen-Aire neighborhood of Unity on Sunday morning as residents poured water on the flames while emergency crews were on their way, firefighters said.

Dry Ridge Volunteer Fire Department was among the companies called about 3:30 a.m. to the fire in the 1000 block of Faulkner Way.

The department posted on its Facebook page that crews discovered a fire in the rear of the home and noted that residents helped knock down the flames by throwing water on them from an outdoor hot tub.

Additional details weren’t immediately available.
