Franklin Regional students do not need to be signed up for the school district’s free and reduced lunch program to receive free meals, officials said.

As of Monday, the district has waiver approvals from the U.S. Department of Agriculture to provide free meals to all children.

In cooperation with its food-service partner Metz Culinary Management, “grab-and-go” meal distribution will be from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., Monday through Friday (with the exception of April 10), under a tent near the patio entrance to Franklin Regional Senior High School, 3200 School Road, Murrysville.

Meal request forms and menus are available under the “Food Service” link at FRSDk12.org.

“If possible, please complete a meal request form by 5 p.m. the night before food pick-up, so that our staff can prepare enough food to meet the needs of those in need,” a letter to families reads.

Questions can be directed to Linda Miller at lmiller@frsdk12.org.
