Students stand in line waiting to hear their names called during a previous Franklin Regional graduation ceremony.

Franklin Regional School District officials have a couple of tentative dates for the Class of 2020’s commencement ceremony but, whether they work out or not, administrators want to recognize their senior students.

Franklin Regional Senior High School will host a “Celebration of Our Seniors” at 6 p.m. June 5, the original graduation date.

The parade route will start at Mother of Sorrows Church on Old William Penn Highway, where cars will line up and proceed to the high school campus with a police escort. An on-campus route will honor the graduates “in a special way,” according to school district officials.

One student and one family member per car will be permitted, and only Class of 2020 students and parents may participate. Social distancing guidelines will apply.
