Military veterans and service members will get free admission to Idlewild & SoakZone on May 25 through Veteran X, a peer-support program in Westmoreland County.

Three immediate family members of the veteran or service member also will get into the Ligonier Township amusement park for free. A free lunch will be served at noon at pavilion C3.

A parade of veterans will take place through the park at 2 p.m. Veterans can bring their discharge papers or identification card for free entry.

Any veteran who has more than three dependent children can get a group discount code by contacting devildogsx@gmail.com.

Veteran X, run by nonprofit group Devil Dogs, meets regularly at the Bushy Run American Legion in Claridge. It is a program that engages male and female veterans through role playing and discussion to help a member of the group — Veteran X — with problematic situations.
