Gala planned for Lamp Theatre

“A Night at the Speakeasy” will be the theme of The Lamp Theatre’s March 20 fundraiser that will take patrons back to the Roaring ’20s and the days of Prohibition.

Patrons are encouraged to wear a cocktail dress, formal wear and 1920s-themed clothing to the gala that will be held from 6:30 to 10:30 p.m. at the Stratigos Banquet Centre, 131 Colonial Manor Road, Irwin.

The Kenny Blake Trio with special guest Etta Cox and disc jockey Jess will provide the entertainment at the fifth annual fundraiser. The cocktail hour will begin at 6:30 p.m., followed by dinner at 7:30 p.m.There will be dancing and auctions and prizes.

A word to the wise: Check The Lamp Theatre website (lamptheatre.org) for the password needed for entry.

An early bird discount on tickets will continue until Feb. 29 with prices set at $80 per guest and $750 for a table of 10. Beginning March 1, tickets will increase to $95 per ticket and $900 for a table of 10.

Tickets are available at The Lamp box office or online. Payment in cash or check is preferable to avoid credit card fees.
