The City of Greensburg will give $7,600 in grants to three new businesses.

City Council unanimously approved the grants Monday under a program that provides money to cover “soft costs” like architectural and design fees for commercial endeavors.

All three businesses are located at 136 South Pennsylvania Ave., a long-vacant building recently purchased and renovated by City Cribs LLC.

Wight Elephant Boutique will receive $3,200. The boutique opened in October.

The Trendy Bunny, a baby clothing store, will receive $3,200. It is expected to open soon.

The Downtown Greensburg Project, which organizes and promotes events in the city, received $1,200. It will move into its new offices on South Pennsylvania Avenue this month.
