Greensburg bridal store showcases ‘Bridgerton’-themed wedding dress collection
Bishop sleeves, tiered layers and florals are making a comeback in bridal dresses.
MB Bride in Greensburg is showcasing Allure Bridals’ new wedding dress line themed after the hit Netflix show “Bridgerton” — a series based on Julia Quinn’s novels about eight siblings in London high society in the early 1800s.
“The show is so popular and people are so fascinated with that era,” said MB Bride Store Manager Jenn Mason. “Seeing it unfold in today’s more modern bride, I think it really ties that classic elegance of back in the day into today’s fashion sense. I really think those trends are on their way back in.”
The line features 15 dresses, nine of which are available for brides to try on at MB Bride, Mason said. The dresses cost between $1,500 and $2,700, which is typical for wedding dresses, she said.
The collection showcases different looks worn by “Bridgerton” character Queen Charlotte, Mason said.
“(Allure Bridals) really well thought it through, used components from back in that decade and brought the Bridgerton style into the 2024 era,” Mason said.
“They have that modern, kind of cottage core-type twist on these gowns, so they still are absolutely for the modern bride,” Mason said. “But they have such a classic, elegant twist to them that it can go for pretty much any genre of bride.”
