A Greensburg couple is accused of multiple drug delivery and possession charges after city police seized 577 THC vape cartridges and a container of THC gummy bears that were delivered in two parcels to their home earlier this month.
Malachi U. Redhawk, 25, and Ashley M. Martin, 23, were charged after the parcels were delivered to their home in the 300 block of Harrison Avenue on Nov. 7, according to court documents filed before District Judge Chris Flanigan.
Greensburg Officer Garret McNamara and Lt. Shawn Denning were tipped that Redhawk and Martin were due to receive the two parcels containing the contraband.
After the parcels were delivered, said McNamara in court documents, he and Denning knocked on the door and Redhawk agreed to cooperate. McNamara said Redhawk permitted him to open the parcels, where the cartridges and gummy bears were discovered.
Police confiscated the items.
The couple’s private attorney, Joseph Pometto of Carnegie, declined comment Wednesday, saying he has not had a chance to review the criminal complaints.
Preliminary hearings have not been scheduled.
