A Greensburg man accused of sexually assaulting a 5-year-old girl is being held at the Westmoreland County Prison without bail.

David J. Landman, 35, was arrested Tuesday on charges of involuntary deviate sexual intercourse, aggravated indecent assault, corruption of minors and related offenses.

City police received several reports over the past six months in which the girl said Landman touched her inappropriately, according to court papers. The girl told police Landman would make her watch horror movies and read her scary stories, telling her the characters would hurt her if she told anyone about the sexual assaults.

Landman denied the allegations during an interview with police.

He did not have an attorney listed in online court records. A Sept. 8 preliminary hearing is set.
