A Greensburg man is accused of sexually abusing a girl when she was 8 and 15 years old, according to court papers.

Charles Samuel Battistoni, 60, is charged with numerous sex assault-related offenses including rape. He is free on $5,000 unsecured bail.

State police allege the sexual abuse occurred in Unity Township between July and October 2011 and then again between August 2016 and June 2017. Troopers said the accuser reported two months ago being assaulted and watching pornographic videos with Battistoni, according to an affidavit.

Attorney Michael Ferguson said he will review the allegations and decide the appropriate defense.

“Charles is entitled to a presumption of innocence,” he said.

A Feb. 25 preliminary hearing is set.
