A Greensburg man is accused of stealing a woman’s car after assaulting her Monday, according to state police.
State police charged Terry Lynn Brumley Jr., 32, with robbery of a motor vehicle, theft, simple assault, harassment and driving under the influence. He was arraigned Monday and released on an unsecured $25,000 bond, according to court records.
State police said the incident began when Brumley called the 28-year-old woman and asked her to pick him up at a Speedway on Village Drive in Unity.
After picking him up, they began to argue and Brumley hit the woman, injuring her face, state police said.
When the woman got out of her car, state police said Brumley climbed into the driver’s seat and drove off.
Before the car was reported stolen, Greensburg police stopped it. Greensburg police contacted state police, and determined Brumley stole the car.
Brumley is scheduled for a preliminary hearing Feb. 3 before District Judge Chris Flanigan.
