Greensburg man jailed without bond for allegedly providing alcohol to minors, assault
Two Greensburg boys were treated at Excela Health Westmoreland hospital late Wednesday after city police discovered them “extremely” intoxicated and one had a head laceration.
Policearrested a relative of one of the youths, David M. Bramini, 38, of Autumn Brook Apartments, on multiple criminal charges including providing alcohol to minors, corruption of minors, endangering the welfare of children, reckless endangering and simple assault.
Patrolman Brad Grabiak said neighbors telephoned police about 8:30 p.m. with concerns over “yelling and screaming” coming from Bramini’s Greensburg apartment. Grabiak said Bramini answered the door and said he had been drinking whiskey “all day.”
Grabiak said Bramini was “ out of breath and sweaty.” Bramini told investigators had gotten into a fight with a 17-year-old, “but it was ended.”
Police entered the apartment after they observed blood spattered inside and the teen lying on a bed, bleeding from the head.
Grabiak said he woke the youth and asked him how he received the cut to his head.
“He said he did not know what happened because he was extremely intoxicated. Paramedics were called to have him evaluated,” Grabiak said in court documents.
Police also discovered a second boy, 12 years old, lying in a corner of the bedroomGrabiak said police could not wake the boy, who smelled of alcohol, “but he was breathing.”
Court reports said Bramini admitted to police hitting the teenager after they began arguing.
Grabiak said Mutual Aid paramedics were able to wake the juvenile before taking him to the hospital for treatment of alcohol poisoning. The teenager was treated at the hospital for intoxication and the cut on his head.
Bramini was arraigned Thursdayand held without bail in the county prison pending a preliminary hearing Aug. 18.
