Shopping deals, food trucks and prizes will be among the attractions for those who come to downtown Greensburg on Thursday for Ladies Night.
Ten participating businesses will stay open late, until 9 p.m., for all to hunt for bargains and enjoy an evening out on the town. The annual event, organized by the Greensburg Business & Professional Association, “opens the opportunity for everyone to come together and get to know what Greensburg has to offer,” according to the nonprofit group.
While merchants may feature special offers throughout the day, Ladies Night officially begins at 5 p.m.
Attendees are encouraged to start their visit at the Lighting Gallery, 450 S. Main St. There they’ll find parking, event registration and “Must Stop” punch cards.
During their stay in town, participants who get their card punched at all of the listed businesses can return it to the Lighting Gallery and get entered in the event’s grand-prize raffles.
The first grand prize is an overnight stay at Oak Lodge, an 800-acre resort in Stahlstown that offers bed and breakfast accommodations and features its own maple syrup. The site also includes a spa that can be booked by lodge guests or the public, hiking trails and a 3-acre lake.
The second prize is a music-and-meal package: two concert tickets for a Pittsburgh Symphony Holiday Pops performance and a restaurant gift certificate to Vallozzi’s Pittsburgh.
During Ladies Night, a variety of fare will be available to purchase from food trucks stationed at the Pitt & Penn lot on South Pennsylvania Avenue. Vendors include Barry’s Italian Ice, Circle Pizza, Pit Take BBQ and the Tipple Taps wine truck.
Shuttle transportation will be available to downtown businesses.
