Police have arrested one man and are looking for another accused of robbing the Sheetz on Harvey Avenue in Greensburg Thursday evening.

Four men entered the store around 6:15 p.m., according to police.

Tywone McClain Jr., 21, of Greensburg, allegedly demanded money from the cashier, saying he had a gun and would shoot if he was not given the cash. He did not show a weapon.

Jerome Garrett, 19, of Greensburg, took an unknown amount of cash from the clerk, then McClain and Garrett fled the scene on foot, according to police.

Police identified Garrett and arrested him Friday morning. He’s in the Westmoreland County Jail on $100,00 bail.

McClain is at large. Police have a warrant for his arrest.

Both will be charged with robbery, theft, receiving stolen property and criminal conspiracy.

Two other men were in the store with Garrett and McClain, according to police. They have been identified, but will not be charged at this time, police said.

McClain is known to frequent the New Kensington area, according to police. Anyone with information about his whereabouts is asked to call City of Greensburg police at 724-834-3800.
