Greensburg Salem High School prepared for Friday’s homecoming festivities with a pep rally and bonfire Thursday on the school grounds in Greensburg.

Community members joined students in enjoying grilled treats, baked goods and performances by the school marching band and cheerleaders.

Activities included yard games, an inflatable obstacle course, a karaoke station and a pie-eating contest.

The event was delayed a day because of poor weather.

Beginning at 6:15 p.m. Friday, a homecoming parade will proceed through downtown Greensburg to Offutt Field, where the Greensburg Salem football team will host East Allegheny High. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m.

The homecoming queen will be crowned at halftime.
