The Greensburg Community Development Corporation is accepting applications for its annual Hometown Hero banner installation.
Launched in 2020, the installation honors Greensburg and Southwest Greensburg residents who have left a positive impact on the community — including military veterans, first responders and local officials. The municipalities added 43 new banners last year.
New banner applications can be submitted to the Greensburg Community Development Corporation until April 11. Applications for banner renewals will be accepted until May 16.
New banners cost $150 and renewals cost $100. In the past, banners hung for a period of two years, but this year’s accepted banners will only hang for one year, the group said.
