Westmoreland County detectives have issued an arrest warrant for a woman who allegedly stalked a sheriff’s deputy and made a fake 911 call that brought police to the deputy’s mother’s home.
Westmoreland County Sheriff’s Deputy Casey Cameron told investigators he’s never met Nishee Sanford, 41, but that her behavior has him afraid for his family’s safety, according to an affidavit of probable cause.
Sanford allegedly sent about 18 letters to Cameron, and made more than a dozen calls to 911 and the Westmoreland County Sheriff’s Office asking for him.
The behavior culminated Tuesday evening when Sanford allegedly called 911 pretending to be Cameron’s girlfriend. She reported a fictitious fight between Cameron and his mother that prompted Penn Township police to respond to Cameron’s mother’s home, the affidavit said.
Cameron was not at the home, but Sanford had called there earlier that evening looking for him, according to the affidavit
Sanford is charged with felony false alarm, stalking and false reports.
