Harbor Freight Tools set to open Rostraver store
Harbor Freight Tools will open a new location in Rostraver Township on Dec. 7 at 8 a.m., according to company officials.
The first 500 customers at the store at 120 Finley Road will receive a free tape measure. The store is in a building that previously housed a Kmart, which closed in 2017.
The 16,000-square-foot store, Harbor Freight Tools’ 40th in the state, will employ between 30 and 35 people. The store stocks tools and other items in a wide range of categories, from automotive to welding supplies.
The Rostraver store will be open Monday through Saturday from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. and on Sundays from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Harbor Freight Tools is based in Southern California, where it was started in 1977.
The company annually holds Harbor Freight Tools for Schools, a cash prize for teachers working in skilled trade education. Teachers in Westmoreland County have been named finalists in the program during the last couple of years.
