A Hempfield man was arrested Friday on state police accusations that he sexually assaulted a girl for six years starting when she was 9, according to court papers.

Ted Donald Brown III, 42, is facing 50 charges, including rape of a child, statutory sexual assault, aggravated indecent assault and corruption of minors.

Troopers learned about the allegations on Sept. 13 after a person caught Brown with the 15-year-old girl at a Hempfield home, according to court papers. The girl told police that the assaults started in June 2015.

A female witness told authorities in December that she had conversations with Brown regarding the details and time frame of the allegations, according to court papers.

Brown was being held at the Westmoreland County Prison on $100,000 bail. He did not have an attorney listed in online court records. He does not have a criminal history in Pennsylvania, according to online court records.
