SummerSounds: Elton Rohn

The SummerSounds concert series is back and this Friday’s live act will be Elton Rohn, a a top-rated and high-energy Elton John tribute act. Attendees will hear many of John’s hits, timeless songs such as “Crocodile Rock” and “Tiny Dancer.”

The show starts at 7 p.m. at St. Clair Park, 132 N. Maple Ave., Greensburg. Metered parking in Greensburg is free after 5 p.m.

Air Supply at The Palace Theatre

Air Supply, the 1980s megahit soft rock duo, will perform at The Palace Theatre, 21 W. Otterman St., Greensburg this Friday. With hits such as “All Out of Love” and “Making Love Out Of Nothing At All,” their songs have stood the test of time.

Friday’s show will be held at 7:30 p.m. Tickets range from $68 to $128, and VIP packages with sound check access and meet-and-greets with the group are available for an additional cost.

Greater Latrobe-Laurel Valley’s A Delicious Week in the Neighborhood

The Greater Latrobe-Laurel Valley Chamber of Commerce’s Restaurant Week will end this Saturday, but there’s still time to get some delicious food from local eateries before it concludes.

The special week includes deals at participating local restaurants and bars, including Carmine’s Pizza and Pasta, Mailey’s Provisions, Sharky’s Cafe and many more. Deals include “sweet treats,” which are single-item specials on food or beverages; “lunch combos” of two or more items, typically from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. each day; and “dinner deals,” or prix fixe multi-course meals at a special price, suggested from 4 p.m. to close.

“The Musical Comedy Murders of 1940” at the Theatre Factory

The Theatre Factory in Trafford continues a fantastic season with comedic play “The Musical Comedy Murders of 1940,” opening Friday. The play by John Bishop is summarized as “the creative team responsible for a Broadway flop assemble for a backer’s audition of their new show.”

Tickets are $20. For this weekend, shows are Friday and Saturday at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday at 2 p.m. Performances run through June 13.

Irwin Street Market

From 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. this Saturday, visit downtown Irwin for the Irwin Street Market. The event will include crafters, vendors, food, live music and more.

The event is free and open to the public. For those who work up an appetite while they browse, food trucks will be stationed on Fourth Street, and the restaurants in downtown Irwin will be open.
