Now that we’re reached the unofficial start of summer, it’s time to get together, get out and get moving. Here are some things to do this weekend:

‘Wicked’ sing-a-long

Did you see “Wicked” in the theater and get tons of dirty looks when you tried to sing along? Never fear! At the Lamp Theatre this Friday, you’re invited to belt out all the lyrics along with the movie.

This “Wicked” sing-a-long will include the film with onscreen lyrics, fun surprises, themed cocktails, raffles, merchandise and more with a $25 ticket. Don’t forget to dress up in your best Oz-ian fashion.

Entry will begin at 6 p.m. and the movie will start at 7:30 p.m. Friday at the Lamp Theatre, 222 Main St., Irwin. Get tickets at lamptheatre.org.

Foraging walk at West Overton

Why not explore the outdoors and learn about the medicinal and edible plants that can be found at West Overton Village’s gardens?

This educational walk will be both educational and fun. You’ll learn the do’s and don’ts of plant identification and safety, as well as some fun cultural and historic facts about the specimens you come across. And don’t forget to stop by the distillery afterward to enjoy a discounted cocktail garnished with herbs from your walk.

The program will be 2:30 to 4:30 p.m. Sunday at West Overton Village, 109 W. Overton Road, East Huntingdon. Registration is $5 for West Overton Village members and $10 for nonmembers. Sign up at westovertonvillage.org.

Mammoth Fest

Mammoth Park in Mt. Pleasant Township will host Mammoth Fest this Sunday, a festival of fun for the whole family.

The daylong party will include live entertainment, carnival rides, petting zoo, an arts and crafts vendor fair, delicious food and drink options and even an exotic animal show. Entry and parking is free, and full-day unlimited activity passes are $5.

The festival runs 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Learn more at westmorelandcountypa.gov.

Vintage market

This Sunday, head to the Westmoreland Museum of American Art for a vintage market that will inspire you to spruce up for summer. With a wide variety of goods from clothes to housewares to art and more, this market will have something for everyone to take home.

In addition to the fair, there will be local florists and food vendors on site to make the day even better. This event is free and there is no registration fee. Head to the Westmoreland Museum of American Art, 221 N. Main St., Greensburg. See more at thewestmoreland.org.

Amp up your summer concert

Get outside and hear some tunes this Saturday in Hempfield. This free concert is the first of several throughout the summer, so start the season off right.

This Saturday’s artist is the Frank Viera Band, a country act that will get you moving. Food trucks and concessions will be available, but you can also bring your own. This series is all ages and family friendly, and you can even bring your leashed pets to enjoy the music with you.

The show will start at 7 p.m. Saturday at the Smail Auto Group Pavilion in Hempfield Park. Learn more at hempfieldtwp.com.
