It’s safe to say that after a frigid and snow-covered week, it’s time to shake off that cabin fever and rejoin the world for some good times away from your couch.
Here are a few events around Westmoreland County that are a sure cure for those those cold feet and winter blues.
Chili Challenge
You’ve spent your week being chilly, so how about spending your Sunday being chili instead? All Saints Brewing Co. is partnering with the YWCA of Greensburg and Feeding the Spirit for this heart- and stomach-warming event.
Participants can walk around sampling different chilis and voting on their favorite from a number of delicious styles and types. In addition, there will be live music to bop your head to and tasty beer to cleanse your palate between chili samples. Also participate in raffles.

The Rush Experience
When it comes to classic rock bands, few can match Canadian trio Rush in pure musicianship. A tribute act has a large hill to climb when playing songs including “Spirit of Radio” and “Tom Sawyer” that have thrilled generations. But The Rush Experience is up to the task.
The three members pride themselves on being faithful to the music of the progressive rock band, covering the length and breadth of the band’s career. You’ll hear the hits and the deep cuts, along with everything in between.

Valentine’s Day pop-up market
Believe it or not, it’s February already, which means that Valentine’s Day is just a couple weeks away. Are you stressing about what to get someone special for the love-iest of holidays? Then here’s a shopping experience for you.
This pop-up market will feature more than 40 local vendors, so gifts for any taste can be found at the Greensburg Garden and Civic Center. In addition, the available items will be locally sourced, homegrown and handmade, allowing you to get something special for your sweetie while supporting small businesses.

Action movie bingo
Movie and a game together? That’s a fun evening. On Saturday night, Green Beacon Gallery will be playing action movie bingo with the 1987 action classic “RoboCop.”
Here’s how it works: watch the movie, check your bingo card for different action-movie scenarios and mark them off when they happen. First one to reach a full line on your card wins. And you get to enjoy the futuristic, bloody fun of “RoboCop” in the meantime.

Lee Brice
Country star Lee Brice will head to Greensburg this weekend to play his hits at The Palace Theatre. With eight singles rising to the top of the Billboard Country Airplay chart and more than 10 billion career streams, the singer has a lengthy discography with which to thrill the audience.
