Ready to spring forward? Even if this weekend is an hour shorter than last weekend, you can still have just as much fun with these events.

‘Alice in Wonderland’

Fall down the rabbit hole and join Keystone Contemporary Ballet on the adventure of a lifetime with “Alice in Wonderland” this weekend. The beautiful dance rendition will bring the Lewis Carroll classic story to life.

Performances on Friday and Saturday will take place at Westmoreland Community College’s Science Hall Theatre, 145 Pavilion Lane, Hempfield. The Friday performance will be held at 7 p.m. and the Saturday performance will be held at 2 p.m. Tickets are $20-$22 for adults (age 13 or older) and $17-$19 for kids.

Sunday Fun Day

This month’s Sunday Fun Day at the Westmoreland Museum of American Art will concentrate on women in the arts in celebration of Women’s History Month.

From 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., guests can participate in interactive art activities, watch live artist demonstrations and shop for goods and food at a women-owned business pop-up market. There will also be live performances and talks with musicians, artists and authors. Be sure to enjoy the museum’s current exhibit, “Our Own Work, Our Own Way: Southern Modern Women Artists.”

The event will last from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday and is free. The Westmoreland Museum of American Art is at 221 N. Main St., Greensburg. Learn more at thewestmoreland.org.

Rolling Stones tribute

Get some satisfaction with Classic Stones Live, playing all of the Rolling Stones’ greatest hits with striking resemblance to Mick Jagger and Keith Richards. With their detail-oriented and electrifying performance, they’ll give you the best possible versions of hits including “Gimme Shelter” and “Brown Sugar.”

The performance will be held at 8 p.m. Friday at The Lamp Theatre, 222 Main St., Irwin. Tickets are $34 each and they’re going fast, so make sure you get yours now. Check out lamptheatre.org.

Charter Day at Bushy Run

Celebrate the 344th birthday of the commonwealth of Pennsylvania this Sunday with Bushy Run Battlefield. The open house event celebrates the anniversary of the day that King Charles II granted a charter to William Penn.

The event will include fun and educational activities for all ages. It’s organized by the Bushy Run Battlefield Historical Society, a similar event to those organized by historical societies all around the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. There will be period demonstrations from American Indian, settler and military historians. And what would be a birthday without a cake?

The event will be held noon to 4 p.m. Sunday at Bushy Run Battlefield, 1253 Bushy Run Road, Penn Township. Learn more at bushyrun battlefield.com.

Super Smash Bros. tournament

Are you a Nintendo Switch addict? Are you super good at fighting game franchise Super Smash Bros.? Head over to Green Beacon Gallery Friday night to test your skills head-to-head against the local talent in hopes of being crowned the inaugural champion.

The event is all ages (BYOB for those age 21 and older) and there is free parking on the premises. Games will be played on the gallery’s projection screen. A $5 donation is suggested. Don’t forget to check out the gallery’s artwork, which is all for sale.

The tournament will run from 7 to 10 p.m. Friday at Green Beacon Gallery, 235 W. Pittsburgh St., Greensburg. Get more details at greenbeacongallery.com.
