Hitchcock double feature
There’s no better time of year for the classic thrills and chills of director Alfred Hitchcock, and the Geyer Performing Arts Center in Scottdale will be serving up a double feature of his work Saturday.
In this case, the films are “The Birds” (1963) and “Psycho” (1960). “The Birds” is a chilling tale that focuses on a series of sudden, seemingly random and violent bird attacks, featuring an iconic performance by Tippi Hedren. “Psycho” is a classic thriller and murder mystery that will stun those who haven’t seen it with its twists and turns.
The double feature will take place on Saturday at 7 p.m. at the Geyer Performing Arts Center, 111 Pittsburgh St., Scottdale. Tickets are $10. Get yours at geyerpac.com.
Greensburg YMCA Fall Fest
This free and open to the public fall festival is a perfect chance to connect with family and community. The festival will include two hours of fun and enrichment.
There will be a DJ spinning high-energy tunes, carnival-style games, pumpkin decorating, other crafts, a bounce house, healthy snacks, a “Warm Pool” open for the event, and a treat bag for every child. Plus, several community partners will be in attendance.
The event will be held from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Friday at the Greensburg YMCA, 101 S. Maple Ave., Greensburg. No registration is required. Learn more at greensburgymca.org.
