Hunter dies after fall in South Huntingdon

A hunter in Westmoreland County died after falling on Tuesday.

A county 911 supervisor said first responders were called to South Huntingdon’s Mendon neighborhood just after 12:30 p.m.

Westmoreland County Coroner Tim Carson confirmed that his office had been called to the scene, in a wooded area near the 200 block of McCune Road in South Huntingdon.

Officials have not released the hunter’s identity or the circumstances of the death.
