A collision between a car and tri-axle truck closed I-70 in Rostraver in both directions for a short period Tuesday morning. No injuries were reported.

A section of I-70 in Rostraver was temporarily closed Tuesday in both directions after a two-vehicle crash near the North Belle Vernon exit, according to firefighters.

The crash occurred after 8:30 a.m., a dispatch supervisor for Westmoreland County Emergency Management reported. Authorities said a tri-axle truck became lodged on top of the concrete median barrier after colliding with a car along the eastbound lane at Exit 42.

No injuries were reported.

Firefighters had to contain a fuel spill.

The traffic backlog caused a second minor accident along I-70 West at Exit 42A, firefighters reported.

Traffic resumed about 10:30 a.m.
