Idlewild & Soak Zone’s popular Halloween program, Hallowboo! is returning this fall on weekends, beginning Sept. 25 and continuing through Oct. 31.

A variety of family-friendly entertainment, scheduled for 11:30 a.m. to 6 p.m., will be provided, highlighted by a trick-or-treat trail through Story Book Forest.

Many of the park’s popular rides and attractions in Olde Idlewild, Jumpin’ Jungle, Hootin’ Holler, and Raccoon Lagoon will operate. Two new walk-through attractions are targeted to older children, while younger ones can navigate the the hay bale maze and the hedge maze.

Story Book Forest and other amusement areas will be decorated in Halloween-themed pumpkins, cornstalks and scarecrows.

A children’s costume parade, classic car Boo-Cruise and a Halloween dance party will also take place on certain dates, Idlewild officials said.

Entertainment will be offered by two Halloween shows, including Daniel Tiger’s Grr-ific Day, performed daily.

To help keep the program in operation, Idlewild is seeking to hire people with a starting wage as much as $17 per hour. Candidates can apply online at Idlewild.com/employment.
