Two people suffered minor injuries after a two-vehicle crash Thursday on the Pennsylvania Turnpike in Penn Township, according to a state police dispatcher.

The crash happened about 8:45 a.m. near mile marker 64 of the westbound turnpike, between Irwin and Pittsburgh.

It blocked the right lane, backing traffic up for almost four miles.

At least one person was ejected from their vehicle but suffered only minor injuries, according to state police. One patient was taken from the scene by ambulance.

The road fully reopened around 9:30 a.m.

The cause of the crash is unknown.
