Investigators identify person of interest in death of Rostraver woman
Investigators said Monday they have identified a person of interest in the slaying of a woman last week in her Rostraver home.
Police said the body of Jennah M. Seibert, 24, was found Friday afternoon, the victim of a shooting. On Monday, the Westmoreland County District Attorney’s Office said investigators believe Seibert’s vehicle was stolen from her home. It was found in Monongahela.
According to a statement released Monday, the district attorney’s office said Seibert’s 2024 Lexus GX550 was abandoned on a street near an unnamed convenience store.
Investigators released security photographs and video that depicts a bearded man wearing dark clothing and a ski cap at a checkout counter of a convenience store just after 9 a.m. on Friday, a short time after Seibert’s vehicle is believed to have been abandoned.
The name of the person of interest has not been released.
Melanie Jones, spokeswoman for Westmoreland County District Attorney Nicole Ziccarelli, said investigators are seeking additional photographs and videos from residential and business surveillance cameras in the Rostraver, Monongahela and Donora areas taken between 7:30 a.m. and 9:30 a.m. on April 11 that may show the man or Seibert’s vehicle .
Anyone with information is asked to contact the Westmoreland County detective bureau at 724-830-3287 or Rostraver police at 724-929-4111.
Police said Seibert’s body was discovered by family members after noon last Friday at her home on Lenity School Road. Records indicate the house is owned by her fiance, Bryan Murray.
Seibert and Murray were scheduled to be married in October, according to her obituary.
She worked as director of talent acquisition at the Cotter group in Cuddy, southwest of Pittsburgh, for the last several months and had previously been employed at USA Staffing Solutions in Pittsburgh. She was also a member of Mon Valley Chamber of Commerce and the Canonsburg Chamber of Commerce.
Seibert is survived by her parents, James O. and Suzanne (Lueckert) Seibert, and sister Hannah Seibert, all of Rostraver. Ferguson Funeral Home and Crematory Inc., 700 Broad Ave., Belle Vernon, is handling funeral arrangements. Visitation is planned on Wednesday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m., with a funeral service service on Thursday at 10 a.m. in the Christian Center Church, 130 Charity Lane, Rostraver. Interment will follow in Round Hill Cemetery.
