Invisible Man Brewing will receive $4,760 from the City of Greensburg to help cover the architectural and design fees that went into its South Pennsylvania Avenue building.

The brewery opened in October.

Council unanimously approved the grant Monday under a program that provides money to cover “soft costs” for new and expanding businesses.

Since starting the grant program last year, the city has paid more than $28,000 in grants to seven local businesses, five of which are located in the same block of South Pennsylvania Avenue.

The grants are funded through fines and fees paid to the city planning department. The list of recipients is as follows:

  • Sun Dawg Cafe, 37 N. Main St., $4,250
  • City Cribs, 136 S. Pennsylvania Ave., $7,500
  • 309 Spa, 309 Maple St., $1,400
  • Wight Elephant Boutique, 136 S. Pennsylvania Ave., $3,200
  • The Trendy Bunny, 136 S. Pennsylvania Ave., $3,200
  • Downtown Greensburg Project, 136 s. Pennsylvania Ave., $1,200
  • Invisible Man Brewing, 132 S. Pennsylvania Ave., $4,770
