Trafford has canceled its April 7 meeting because of the shutdown restrictions and Irwin has canceled its council meeting on April 8, opting for a virtual meeting on May 13, if Gov. Wolf’s order against public gatherings remains in place.

Council members will meet via a social media platform that will allow members to conduct the meeting without being in the same room, said Shari Martino, Irwin borough manager. The public will be able to submit questions to the manager, Martino said.

Irwin Borough’s office will remain staffed, but closed to the public, Martino said. She and Stacie Santimeyer, assistant manager, are rotating days in the office and working from home.

Trafford borough office is closed, and officials are exploring options to conduct a council meeting on April 21 to handle normal business, according to its website.
