A Jeannette police car sits outside of the station on Tuesday, March 19, 2019.

A Jeannette man arrested on consecutive nights last week holding several thousand dollars and large quantities of heroin and crack cocaine was deemed to be “a danger to society” by a judge and ordered held in the county jail without bail.

District Judge Wayne Vlasic of Monessen made the notation in court documents when he refused to set a bond for Duran E. Foster, 25, on multiple drug distribution and possession charges.

Vlasic arraigned Foster after state troopers searched his Division Street home on Friday, seizing 14 bricks of heroin, more than one ounce of crack cocaine, 21 anxiety pills, multiple cell phones and $4,348.

Trooper Joseph Lauricia reported he obtained a search warrant Friday after troopers received a tip Foster was possessing a large amount of contraband.

Lauricia said the contraband was found throughout the house.

Foster’s live-in girlfriend, Keara D. Lint, 20, also was charged with multiple drug-related counts. She was released on $100,000 unsecured bond.

A day earlier, Jeannette policeman Zachary Burger had pulled over a 2010 black Mercedes driven by Lint for a traffic violation at North 7th Street and Patton Avenue. Foster was a passenger, according to Burger.

According to court papers, Burger said he asked Lint if there was anything “illegal” inside and she said there was not. She also denied Burger’s request to search the vehicle.

Burger said Foster then handed over a small plastic bag containing marijuana. Foster told officers he had a medical marijuana card but could not provide proof. He was arrested for possession of marijuana, according to court documents.

During a subsequent search of Foster, police found 40 stamp bags of heroin, three small bags of crack cocaine and a Xanax bar in his underwear.

Police also seized $2,604 in his possession, according to court documents.

Last month, Foster waived his right to a preliminary hearing for possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia in a case filed by Jeannette police after his arrest in March.

Hearings on the most recent charges are scheduled Oct. 29.
