In anticipation of welcoming more people to Live! Casino Pittsburgh next month as some covid-related restrictions are lifted, officials with the Hempfield facility are hosting a job fair.
Scheduled for Monday at the casino’s recruitment center in Westmoreland Mall, the job fair will promote various positions in the facility. In all, almost 100 positions are available.
Officials with the casino said the job fair is “in response to more people being permitted to attend Pennsylvania casinos.”
Gov. Tom Wolf has announced restaurants, gyms, casinos and malls can operate at 75% capacity starting Sunday. In that order, Wolf also said bars and restaurants can resume bar service and sell alcohol without a food purchase while lifting a curfew that ends alcohol service after 11 p.m.
Since the casino’s November opening, the facility has been subject to restrictions, including not being permitted to operate at full capacity and having to shutter for most of December as officials worked to curb a spike in covid-19 cases.
Casino officials plan to interview for positions that include table games dealers, guest services representatives, cage cashiers, environmental services attendants, security ambassadors, line and prep cooks, dishwashers, food servers, bartenders, restaurant hosts and cocktail servers.
The event runs from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. and from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. While walk-ins are welcomed, those interested in attending the job fair are encouraged to register online, where they can choose which time they will attend.
