Motorists traveling eastbound along Interstate 70 near the Pennsylvania Turnpike’s New Stanton interchange can expect lane restrictions for three nights beginning Monday.

Construction crews will evaluate a bridge and complete prep work for an upcoming project at the interchange, PennDOT District 12 officials said.

Lane restrictions will occur on the interstate between 8 p.m. and 6 a.m. Monday-Wednesday between Hunker and Route 119 while work is completed. The restrictions will be on the eastbound side only, PennDOT said.

Work on the project will be in accordance with Centers for Disease Control and state Department of Health guidance as well as a project-specific covid-19 safety plan, which will include protocols for social distancing, use of face coverings, personal and job-site cleaning protocols, management of entries to the job site and relevant training.
