Latrobe set to reopen municipal offices while following covid-19 precautions
Latrobe plans to reopen its municipal building to the public on June 8, with some restrictions in place to limit the potential spread of covid-19.
Those entering the building to visit the administration or code enforcement departments, or the office of state Rep. Joseph Petrarca, will be required to wear a mask.
Also, only two people will be allowed in the lobby at a time.
Instructions will be posted at the building’s main entrance, advising visitors where to stage as they wait their turn to enter. When someone exits the building, the next person in line will be allowed to enter the lobby.
The city council meeting scheduled for 6:30 p.m. on June 8 also will be open to the public subject to covid-19 restrictions.
The meeting will be limited to 25 people attending in person, including council members and city staff. All who are at the meeting must wear a mask.
Those who don’t want to sit in the audience during the meeting may join the session online with a computer or mobile device. They also may choose to attend via phone, by dialing 1-571-317-3122 and then entering the code 682-156-509 when prompted.
Additional information about attending the meeting remotely can be seen at cityoflatrobe.com/current-announcements.
City officials closed public access to the municipal building in mid-March, in response to the covid-19 pandemic, and also introduced remote participation in council meetings.
City staff may be reached by calling 724-539-8548.
