Library to host French and Indian War speaker

A member of Fort Ligonier’s education department will discuss the French & Indian War and the role Western Pennsylvania played in that global conflict during a program at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Norwin Public Library, Caruthers Lane, Irwin.

David Gerstel, an educator at historic Fort Ligonier, will provide the audience with an overall view of the war, how it began, who fought for the British and French and what occurred in the conflict in a presentation, “The French and Indian War 101.”

The program is free, but registration is requested. Contact the library at 724-863-4700, ext. 3.
