Two free events being held by state Rep. George Dunbar this month will help Pennsylvania motorists who have peeling or hard to read license plates get a replacement.

The representative is working with Penn Township police from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. Thursday in the green parking lot at Penn Trafford High School in Harrison City.

North Huntingdon and Irwin police will work with the office from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. Aug. 17 in Irwin Park at the corner of Main Street and Sweden Alley.

After a police officer verifies eligibility at the event, Dunbar’s staff will take care of submitting forms to order the replacement. Forms will be available on-site for motorists to fill out, and they should bring a driver’s license and vehicle registration card.

Anyone with questions is asked to call Dunbar’s office at 724-744-0305.
