A Ligonier Township man pleaded guilty Wednesday to disseminating and possessing child pornography.

Mathew Louis Hoffer, 57, was charged last spring after state investigators linked his home computer to file-sharing programs that contained sexually explicit images of children.

According to court records, police found at least 25 files on Hoffer’s home computer of child pornography, including photographs and videos.

Hoffer admitted to being a longtime collector and viewer of child pornography, police said.

Hoffer pleaded guilty to multiple felony charges and will remain in custody at the Westmoreland County Prison in lieu of a $50,000 bond until he is sentenced by Westmoreland County Common Pleas Judge Meagan Bilik-DeFazio.
