One motorist was taken by ambulance to an area hospital for treatment following a Friday morning wreck in Ligonier Township, according to a Westmoreland County 911 dispatcher.

Firefighters freed the motorist by removing a door of the vehicle that crashed shortly after 9:30 a.m. along Route 30 near the former Ligonier Beach resort, the dispatcher said.
