A Ligonier Township woman is accused by police of keeping $5,800 in rental proceeds for two properties she managed after the owner requested the funds, according to court papers.

Kylie R. Ezykowsky, 27, was arraigned Wednesday on charges of theft and receiving stolen property. She’s free on $15,000 unsecured bail.

The property owner contacted Ligonier Valley police Jan. 16 when Ezykowsky failed to give him the money after he requested it several times. Police said she managed properties on Orchard and Dreamdale lanes, both in Ligonier Township.

In October and November, Ezykowsky received $1,800 related to a rental agreement for the Orchard Lane property, according to court papers. In November, she received $4,000 under a rental agreement for the Dreamdale Lane unit.

Police said Ezykowsky did not show up for a scheduled interview at the station about the money and, the next day, told investigators she would pay the property owner. The owner told police he got a check from her for $5,800 but was informed by his bank that it bounced, according to court papers.

Ezykowsky could not be reached and she didn’t have an attorney listed in online court records. A preliminary hearing is set for Feb. 2.
