Ligonier Valley Library annual Historical Photography Show runs through Sept. 12

The Ligonier Valley Library’s annual Historical Photography Show kicks off Tuesday. This year’s show is titled “Faces of Ligonier Valley: Veterans of Vietnam and the Cold War.” The event is slated to run from Tuesday through Sept. 12 in the Pennsylvania Room and Hallway.

Photographs of men and women who served during this era, artifacts and documents will be on display.

There are also a few events that coincide with the show:

• The opening reception will be 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday.

• Monty Murty, a Vietnam War veteran who served and was wounded during the Tet offensive will do a presentation at 6 p.m. July 25.

• Russ Raisig, volunteer docent from the Soldiers & Sailors Museum, will do a footlocker presentation with artifacts from the Vietnam War at 6 p.m. Aug. 8.
