The CEO and president of Ligonier Valley YMCA will leave the position in November after 10 years on the job.

Larry Stormer announced his resignation, effective Nov. 10, in a news release Wednesday. He did not respond to a request for comment.

“Everyone that is part of the Ligonier Valley YMCA shares the same passion and drive which has made my time here memorable and a true honor to have led this organization,” Stormer said in the statement.

Stormer oversaw the organization through a remodeling of the building, generating a partnership with Excela Health and navigating the pandemic.

“The (board of directors) is thankful to Larry for his leadership, vision and dedication to all YMCA members, his staff and the entire Ligonier community,” the news release stated.

The board will begin the search for a new CEO immediately.
