A Cook Township man was charged with exposing himself and stalking a woman who was running on the track at Weller Field in Ligonier.

Joseph T. Puschnigg, 24, was identified after the alleged victim obtained the license number on the red Jeep he was driving.

The woman told police she was running and saw a man standing at the fence about 8:15 a.m. Wednesday. She said the man exposed himself and yelled, “Hey, come over here.”

Officer James Friscarella said the woman went to her vehicle and contacted police. When she left the area, Puschnigg followed her and pulled alongside her vehicle, motioning her to put down her window, police said.

When the woman refused, the man drove away. Friscarella said the woman was able to write down his license plate number.

Puschnigg was charged with indecent exposure, harassment and stalking via mailed summons. His preliminary hearing is scheduled May 10.
